Their Situation
Husch Blackwell is a large, national law firm that was looking for a way to articulate what sets them apart from other national firms. Several of the firm’s partners had slightly different, wonderful characteristics that they felt best articulated their differentiators among their competition, but landing on a concise and hard-hitting message was a big need.
The had a strong reputation in the industry, but they ultimately needed a brand strategy and brand messaging to aid in their marketing and communications in the legal industry.
Our solution
We started with several remote strategy sessions to kick off our in-depth “Start with Why” strategy process, followed by in-person whiteboard sessions with the firm’s marketing team and lead partners. We then researched other competing firms from across the country, talked directly to their provided client base, and team-concepted several potential brand strategy directions.
Our goal was to discover what they and their clients felt made them unique when compared to the competition, and what they felt made them a special law firm that is different than the rest.
Our solution was to create a brand direction that was creative, genuine, and used a tone that was a little unexpected yet honest and refreshing in legal industry marketing.
Once the brand direction was set, we developed creative taglines and advertisements for national print publications and well-known online websites, animated social media and digital advertising campaigns, and a fresh new look for their law firm’s website.
