It’s time to show off this place!

Muskegon, MI – August, 2021 – Visit Muskegon, Muskegon County’s Visitor Center does a great job keeping up with Muskegon’s evolving and vibrant county and promoting the area’s many attractions and events. The current promotional videos are another story.

“The current promotional videos showcasing our county are outdated and no longer accurately represent how much Muskegon has to offer. We’ve changed quite a bit over the past 5 or 10 years and it’s time to update our story.”

Visit Muskegon set out on an extensive agency search to find their new partner to help provide a fresh new perspective by developing a series of videos to promote Muskegon to tourists, and to promote the community to businesses looking to travel for corporate outings and large meetings.

Muskegon offers a combination of relaxation and excitement – which is what the new video series will hope to portray. In addition to vacations, the county offers a unique destination for businesses who can now take advantage of Muskegon’s new VanDyk Mortgage Convention Center and also enjoy a vibrant downtown, various lakefront attractions like beaches and events, and even get away to unplug with nature – all just within minutes.

“We selected Kindred because of their combination of experience and creative energy they bring to the table. They’ve been promoting Muskegon for decades and really understood what we were going for compared to the other agencies we interviewed.”

The video series will consist of approximately six total videos. Three to promote Muskegon to traveling tourists, and three that target regional businesses seeking meeting spaces and accommodations.

Recording began in the summer of 2021 and will include multiple video sessions throughout the year to capture every season. The final videos will be released in the spring of 2022 – Perfect timing for the area’s booming tourism season.

“Our crew and models have been hard at work juxtaposing relaxation with excitement to hopefully show a new side of Muskegon not typically found in previous videos.”
